The Brooklyn Museum of Art, which has been hosting the snowflake challenge since January, says the winner will be announced on Thursday.
The snowflake is an ancient snowflake with a red face.
The museum said the contest is meant to showcase the diversity of the snowflakes that have been on display since the mid-1800s.
The contest will also honor Brooklyn resident Sarah Chaudhry, who is known as the queen of the city’s snowflake craze.
The Brooklyn museum’s Snowflake Challenge was created to highlight the diversity and beauty of New York’s snowflake culture and to honor her legacy, said the museum in a statement.
The first snowflake was created in 1851.
The next, created in 1861, was named after her.
